I mean you no harm. Just come inside, stay awhile. Take a load off. Pop your feet up – not there, that’s mother’s place. Right there, by the taxidermied starling. Isn’t that nice?
Thanks for coming to check out my novel-in-progress. I’m 28 years old, and I’ve been working on a novel for about two years. Sometime around March this year, I discovered that I’d secretly been working on another one the entire time, so I got started writing it. It’s going a lot better than the one I wasn’t writing, but I thought I was. I’ll come back to that one at a later date.
The whole reason I started this was to get myself some criticism and volunteer editing from my vast network of intelligent, attractive friends – and their friends, and their friends’ friends, and their friends’ friends’ enemies, who usually turn out to by my friends again. So whether you’re lobbing rotten tomatoes or the fresh green tomatoes of fandom, you are welcome here.
Seriously, please feel free to leave me any messages or suggestions you’d like. And if you happen to specialize in farming, wireless networks, neurobiology, exobiology, or faster-than-light travel and the problems thereof, it would be awesome if you let me know where my glaring ignorance is showing.
Thanks for coming!
